Every company needs a gnarled veteran. Well, okay, maybe "needs" is a bit strong. But having one can be a distinct asset.
We have one and we call him Barry.
For a year he was a milkman and, after souring on that, went on to be a founder and, for twenty-one years, the Vice President of Vicom Inc. One doesn't spend that long building one of western Canada's largest corporate multimedia production companies without learning a thing or two.
Barry learned three.
Worry about one shift at a time.
Dig hard in the corners.
Play with character.
And character is something Barry has in spades. Having played this long in the pros, Barry understands that successful projects don't just take big brains, they also take big hearts.
He brought these attributes with him as a founding partner of Brainstorm and his spidey sense started the dialogue that eventually resulted in the merger to create Freshwater.
Award winning writer/producer, Barry always brings his A game. His experience and natural communication ability helps clients get to the heart of the matter.
Barry is a huge fan of Leonard Cohen. No word yet on how Leonard feels about Barry.
